Put Theory Into Practice!
The Optimal Craps Simulator is a hosted bankroll-risk program customized for dice influencers. It lets you explore the “what-if?” questions discussed on this website, personalized for your skill, your bankroll and the level of risk you are willing to take. In plain terms, the software helps you:
- Model outcomes for two low-risk betting methods, placing the 6 & 8 and BDalt (both run side-by-side as the default) using a RSR that reflects your documented in-casino performance.
- Size your bets as a percentage of your total craps bankroll, so your bet size stays tied to your edge and risk.
- Compute the impact of making table-minimum pass line bets with no odds, because a line bet is required if you’re the shooter. (A software parameter option allows you to forgo pass line bets if you’re betting on other DIs who have an edge.)
- Run multi-session simulations to view bankroll paths, session win rates and variance at different risk levels to generate charts that mimic the examples on this site.
- Adjust and re-run scenarios as your bankroll grows, your betting method changes, your RSR drifts or your comfort with your selected volatility changes.
Optimal Craps Simulator inputs allow you to generate data for customized scenarios based on:
- Any RSR you choose.
- Any total bankroll amount.
- Session buy-in as a percentage of your total bankroll.
- A stop loss, as a percentage of the buy-in, that ends a session.
- Any number of sessions (up to 200).
- Both or either of the two low-risk, easy-to-use betting methods.
- Your pass line bet amount, or no pass line bet.
- Whether to work place bets on come out rolls or not. (Defaults to on.)
- Whether to work odds bets that traveled on come out rolls or not. (Defaults to off.)
- An optional session win goal, with an optional trailing stop that ends the session after a set number of lost hands once the goal is reached.
- An optional session loss recoup: if a session drops by a set percentage of its buy-in, it ends once the loss recovers to a target you choose.
- A session roll goal (up to 500) that once reached, ends the session on the next 7-out unless another setting ended it first.
- The five default risk levels, or custom levels such as 1.75%.
- A user-selected random number generator (RNG) seed, so you can test different settings on the same or different dice rolls.
Excel File Output
Each run also generates an Excel file with the run's bankroll and volatility charts as well as session-by-session results for bet size, betting handle, number of session rolls and end-of-session triggers. It also has a tab with all the dice outcomes in a column for each session, and a tab with all the dice rolls in a single column for users who want to copy and paste them into other programs.
